Computer Science Building

Architectural rendering of new Computer Science building

Our Computer Science Master’s program now typically enrolls over 400 new students each year.  This department alone represents over half of the total on-campus MUM enrollment.

In addition another 500 students continue their studies via distance education, all while working professionally in top information technology companies throughout the United States.

The McLaughlin Building, which has been so integral to the Computer Science department’s success and growth, has been home to the department for the past 15 years. To meet our growing needs we recently renovated eight new classrooms in Verrill Hall. However, the department continues to outgrow the currently available facilities.

Therefore, we have plans for a new building to accommodate our Master’s Program in Computer Science. This 20,000 square-foot facility, planned for construction next to the McLaughlin building,  will be our flagship Computer Science building.

Total Construction budget: $3,000,000
